Aussie Acts To Rock Bluesfest

Over the past 30 years, Bluesfest has brought us some of the best Aussie acts, with songs that are close to our hearts. Who could ever forget Yothu Yindi's "Treaty"?

Carrying on the tradition, a selection of legendary and up-and-coming homegrown talent will be hitting the Bluesfest stages in 2020. Iconic rock band Crowded House will be joined by festival favourites John Butler, Xavier Rudd and The Cat Empire.

To celebrate the amazing talent coming out of Australia, we're highlighting these three must-see Aussie acts, performing at Bluesfest Byron Bay next Easter.

John Butler

Singer-songwriter, producer and activist, John Butler is one of Australia's most acclaimed and successful independent musicians. He started playing the guitar at the age of 16 and now at the age of 43 is about to release his seventh studio album 'Home' at the end of the month. Catch him performing solo with songs from his new album 'Home' as well as much-loved classics at Bluesfest 2020.

Xavier Rudd

One of Australian music's all-time greats, the Byron-based musician, activist and surfer has touched people's lives worldwide. With nine studio albums, eight live records and countless global shows under his belt, Xavier is certainly on our list of acts to catch at Bluesfest next year!

The Cat Empire

Formed in Melbourne and one of Australia's most successful musical exports, The Cat Empire are a musical success story with no signs of slowing down. Since their inception, the band have released a bunch of multi-platinum selling tracks, playing to fans all over the world, including main stage bills at Glastonbury, Quebec City Festival and Bonnaroo. This also led to a string of late-night TV performances including Jay Leno and Letterman. Soak up their high-energy, smile-inducing live performance at Bluesfest next Easter.
